Guide to Spains Costa del Sol · Costa Del Sol Fuengirola Info

Mucho More About Here: http://costadelsolfuengirola.info/

Spains costa del sol(Coast of Sun) is situated in the south of the country and experiences around 320 days of sunshine every year. This is why it has become in recent years one of the most popular holiday destinations for the British as well as other europeans including the Germans and the French.

The costa del sol has a host of towns a cities to explore such as its capital Malaga, Torremolinos, Benalmadena, Mijas, Marbella and Estepona to name a few.

The costa del sol is a fantastic holiday resort for people of all ages. If you have children then there are lots of places to visit such as Selwo Marina in Benalmadena which has a variety of sealife to see including sea lions, dolphins, flamingos and penguins.

Or if you are visiting Fuengirola the zoo there is a must. Located pretty much within the hustle and bustle of the town it has a great number of different animals from all over the world to see and is great for the kids.

If golf is your thing then the costa del sol is perfect for you as its one of the worlds golfing mecca´s. There are around 50 courses to choose from and most are of a very high standard. A particularly nice course is Santana Golf Course in La Cala and is well worth 18 holes. Bare in mind though if you do play golf in Spain try and avoid July and August as although the green fee´s will be a lot less than the rest of the year, it can get very hot and is not ideal for playing any sport.

If it is nightlife that you are after then the costa del sol is definetely a good choice. With literally hundreds of bars and clubs to tickle your fancy you will be spoilt for choice on where to spend your evenings.

On the other hand if all the above sounds like just a bit too much activity for you, why not settle for a nice spot of sand on one of the many fine beaches that there are on offer. Lay your towel down, chill out and feel that warm sun on your body.

The great thing about the costa del sol is that there is something for everyone.

No need for business to have opening licence, says Town Halls · Costa Del Sol Fuengirola Info

Mucho More About Here: http://costadelsolfuengirola.info/

With the down turn in the property market, together with the recession, both the Malaga and Fuengirola town halls have made a bold move in removing the requirement for an opening licence on many local businesses in an effort to stimulate the economy. With the new requirements in force and covering a wide range of commercial activities, areas of catering, sport, leisure and culture have been omitted and these businesses must still fulfil the requirement of an opening licence. Normally, local businesses had to obtain an opening licence from the town hall before trading could begin. This process would normally cost anything up to 300 Euros and take a long time to process, thus halting new local businesses from opening and offering new jobs to the communities. Now, Malaga’s requirement is simply the presentation of a declaration of responsibility, together with copies of relevant documents such as a property rental agreement or ‘escritura’. There is no fee or waiting time involved and trading can begin as soon as the documents are delivered. However, as per usual, the officials from the town halls will still continue their inspections of the business and should any problems arise, they will be declared to the business owner, who is at their best interest to sort any problems out immediately. The general vibe on the streets is that the new move is a positive sign and good for new businesses. Included in this new requirement are shops, motor dealers, doctors, vets, warehouses, driving schools and many others, but excluded are bars, restaurants, discos, cinemas, theatres and more

In Fuengirola, the town hall is due to enact a similar policy to the one in Malaga. Local officials have also confirmed that this new policy is inline with the EU directive, who wants to help and improve the process for new business opening, thus having a “positive” knock-on effect for the community.

Guide to Marbella’s Best Restaurants · Costa Del Sol Fuengirola Info

Mucho More About Here: http://costadelsolfuengirola.info/

Marbella is well known for its spectacular array of restaurants that serve up food from both Spain and around the world. But the trouble with visiting such an area of culinary excellence is that often it’s difficult to know where to start. Here’s a brief guide to five of the best restaurants that you should visit next time you are in town.

1. Morelli’s

Launched by Irish chef Silvano Morelli, this is one of the restaurants that always seems to get great reviews from its happy diners. Located on the east side of Puerto Banus, the centre of wealth and opulence, it caters for some demanding diners, but it seems to please nearly all of the time.

The friendly staff at Morelli’s are welcoming and will make you feel right at home from the moment you step foot inside the building. But of course it is the food that makes or breaks any restaurant, and Morelli’s has some of the best that the Costa del Sol has to offer.

Serving up a wide range of Spanish dishes, including pasta, meat and fish dishes, it aims to please everyone and manages to do just that. Typical starters include fresh mussels, tempura prawns and Caesar salad, and recommended dishes include the meat ravioli, the fillet steak and linguine with fresh lobster. It is not a traditional Spanish restaurant, but if you want to dine well on excellent food in a superb location, you can’t miss Morelli’s.

2. Zozoi

Zozoi is known as the trendiest spot to eat in the Old Town of Marbella, and as soon as you step foot inside the converted house you will see why. Decked out in modern décor, everything is designed to appeal to the eye and attract the ‘in’ crowd in the town.

But it’s not just an attractive interior that makes Zozoi special: here you will find some of the best Mediterranean cuisine on offer in Marbella. The menu is constantly changing with the seasons, so that you are always in for a surprise depending on the time of year that you visit.

The large terrace is perfect for those long, warm summer evenings, and this combined with the fresh food and the great atmosphere make it one of the highlights of Marbella’s gastronomic scene.

Some of the main courses include roasted salmon with honey and lime, braised lamb shank with couscous, and grilled fillet of sea bass with saffron fettuccini and asparagus.

3. Messina

The original Messina was located in the Old Town, but it became so popular that in the end it had to move to bigger premises. This is a sophisticated restaurant that boasts a great menu and a huge selection of wines. There is a sense of fun in the menu that is revealed through the creative dishes that strive to be inventive and end up delivering a real treat to the taste buds.

Items on the menu such as Argentinian fillet steak, grilled skate and Iberic pork lasagne with caramelized apple are sure to lead to an interesting and tasty excursion. There’s also plenty of parking space and a valet service to take the hassle out of visiting.

4. Casa Fernandos

If you’re looking for something traditional and respected by the locals as well as the tourists, you can’t do better than Casa Fernandos. This family-run restaurant has been going for over 30 years, and always seems to be full, which has to be a good sign.

Its speciality is fish, and its loyal customers will tell you that here you will find the best fish dishes in town. But despite seafood being the speciality, it also serves up impressive meat dishes and a popular paella. Located in a large house, customers can sit inside or out on the terrace, and the friendly waiters will make sure to keep your plate full with lots of local delights.

The starters are particularly good, with local cheeses, smoked ham and bread options all very tasty. On top of that it boasts a great selection of Spanish and international wines to accompany the meals.

5. El Pozo Viejo

Translated as ‘The Old Well’, El Pozo Viejo is located just behind the Church of the Incarnation in the Old Town of Marbella. It is a delightful old building, and one of the most impressive features is the old Andalusian patio inside.

The owner is an ex bull fighter, Jaime Carbrerizo, a name which attracts some well-known faces to the restaurant. Here diners are treated to traditional dishes from the Basque region as well as the south of Andalusia, and the motto seems to be quality food at a good price.

The traditional setting is made even more atmospheric when on various nights flamenco dancing and poetry readings take place, making it a rather special evening out. The ‘albondigas’ (meatballs) come highly recommended.

Costa del Sol: a great place to visit in Spain · Costa Del Sol Fuengirola Info

Mucho More About Here: http://costadelsolfuengirola.info/

Spain is a country with a long and interesting history. As a mixture of past cultures, the present shows a country with fascinating traditions. It is also important to know that no matter what the ordinary tourist is looking for, he can find it all in this country: beautiful beaches with great weather all year round, mountains perfect for skiing, great sightseeing cities with a lot of culture. Because of all these, there are a number of about 60 million tourists every year and it is constantly growing. So, a concern for all these people coming to visit is the availability of rooms in hotels in Costa del Sol.

The Spanish tourism flourishes every year because it is one of the most affordable and easy to reach destinations in Europe offering a variety of choices regarding accommodations, travelling means and entertainment. The hotels in Costa del Sol are always full of tourists, due to the fact that the region has great potential. There is something interesting to do for everyone, from families, who want to have fun with the children, to singles looking to hang out on the beach and enjoy the nightlife. There are hotels in Costa del Sol to cater for all tastes and needs. For example, families who want to spend quality time with their children can stay in some hotels in Costa del Sol which are closer to the Selwo Wildlife Park. Depending on what you plan on doing during your holiday, the region has it all.

The region was discovered for international tourism only in the 1950 and it became renowned for its beautiful beaches. But this is not the only a reason for the hotels in Costa del Sol to always be full of visitors. Lately, another attraction has drawn tourists – golf. The vast number of high-quality golf courses in the area has contributed to the increase in tourism and to the fact that a lot of complexes have started to be built. The scenery is wonderful for those romantic persons willing to relax and spend some time admiring the area. The Mediterranean Sea, seen from the transformed sunny coast or from the window of your hotel in Costa del Sol, is undeniably wonderful. White-washed villas, high buildings and the hotels in Costa del Sol bring the region a personal light full of charm and satisfactory for all tastes. As the area is heavily urbanised, it doesn’t matter if you’ve checked in one of the hotels in Costa del Sol or if you prefer a villa, architectural styles create an unforgettable mixture ready to please anyone.

For water park amateurs, there are some hotels in Costa del Sol which are close to Torremolinos where there are 2 such parks with plenty of water slides that are great fun. Also, for those with more cultural tastes, finding a stay in Costa de Sol hotels, closer to Malaga, is very helpful because in this city you can visit the Picasso Museum. Last, but not least, if you are a plant lover, you can’t miss the chance to visit the Bonsai Museum or the Botanical Gardens. Of course, there are plenty of Costa del Sol hotels close to these areas.

Undoubtedly, most hotels in Costa del Sol are situated along the beach of the Mediterranean Sea, as the main attraction for people who come here is this – lazing on the beach, enjoying tasty drinks, getting a nice tan and forgetting all about the hardships of life. Costa del Sol hotels are the most popular because it is more comfortable for those who are looking to relax and unwind to spend as little time on the road between destinations. They can easily go to the beach and come back to the Costa del Sol hotels to rest and have launch.

The most distinguished city in the Costa del Sol region is Marbella, the place where the king of Saudi Arabia built one of his palaces. There are numerous hotels in Marbella, due to the fact that the area has a huge number of tourists every year. Its popularity is surpassed only by the quality of the offered services. Because of the competition, it is only normal for the hotels in Marbella to have become more and more customer – oriented. Therefore, no matter what you want, everything is of excellent taste and quality, especially when it comes to the few Marbella hotels situated in the harbour – Puerto Banus. They might however be more expensive than the hotels in other parts of Costa del Sol, due to the fact that Marbella hotels have only three or four stars. Staying in one of the hotels in Marbella might cost you more, but you can have it all right there, even a small kitchen. Also, there are Marbella hotels which offer suites, not simple rooms, and they are all as luxurious as you can imagine.

People who want to spend less money on housing and still spend their time in the heart of Costa del Sol can do so by staying in one of the cheaper Marbella hotels situated a little further away. It’s a fifteen minute drive from these hotels to the core of the excitement. However, due to the fact that renting a car or paying for a cab is quite expensive, in the end, one might end up paying even more than by staying in one of the hotels in Marbella to begin with.

The advantages of staying in the comfort of one of the hotels in Marbella are numerous. Besides the comfort, by visiting Marbella you can get to see some great sights like Museo del Grabado Español Contemporáneo, the old city centre, the Arabian Wall, the Bonsai museum (which was already mentioned) and a lot beaches like Fontanilla and Bajadilla. The beauty of this place is reflected in the fact that a lot of famous people have chosen it for a vacation destination. So, if you decide to book a room in one of the hotels in Marbella, you might get to spot someone like Antonio Banderas or Sean Connery on the beach sitting next to you. It is after all a favourite destination for wealthy tourists, who enjoy quality services in luxurious hotels in Marbella and love peace and quite away from the eye of the press.

To conclude with, the hotels in Costa del Sol and especially the expensive, distinguished hotels in Marbella, are one more reason to visit this beautiful region of Spain. No matter if you come there with the entire family or by yourself, you will be able to have a great time and find interesting things to do.

Choosing a Hotel- What to look for · Costa Del Sol Fuengirola Info

Mucho More About Here: http://costadelsolfuengirola.info/

Anyone who has stayed in more than one hotel during their lifetime knows that all hotels aren’t created equal. They vary in price, location, amenities and service. It’s important to check each of those factors while looking for the place you’ll call home while on your trip. Follow these guidelines to get the most out of your hotel search:

Positive reviews-

Let other travelers’ experiences guide you on your search. They’ve stayed at the places you’re considering and they’re willing to share their input. Why not read what they have to say about it? You can get a lot of honest feedback without leaving the comfort of your home. For an example of a quality hotel review site, check out www.renohotelreviews.com. Even if you aren’t planning to trip to Reno just yet, this site shows you how reviews are done.

Affordable price-

You may have dreams of a luxury suite, but your budget might not match that desire. Start your search by identifying which hotels you can afford. You can save money on a hotel typically beyond your budget if you travel on weekdays and/or using special discounts. Discounts can be found a number of ways including online booking sites and travel clubs. If you’re on a tight budget, booking a hotel in a location just outside of major metropolitan areas can result in a higher quality hotel for a good price.

Key locations-

If you are traveling for work, book a hotel close to where you’ll be handling business. It will cut down on transportation costs and commuting time. This will leave you with more expenses and time to prepare for your meeting or conference. If you are traveling for pleasure, proximity to popular attractions will be desirable. You’ll spend less time traveling and more time enjoying yourself!

The right amenities-

If the potential hotels on your list have Web sites, take a look at each for photos and their list of amenities. What each hotel offers may vary by room type. Mentally rank your desired amenities in order in case you have to make some compromises. If it is important for you to have a refrigerator in your room, look for hotels that offer that for the size room you need. If you want a hotel with laundry facilities and a swimming pool, put hotels that have them higher up on your list. Check out photos of each hotel to see if it has the right décor and ambiance to match your tastes. Keep in mind that while presenting their Web site, each hotel wants to portray their best image.

Quality Service-

Regardless of budget, every traveler expects a high level of quality service when traveling. Depending on the hotel, services available may include valet parking, concierge, complimentary wake up calls and room service. For unbiased opinions on a hotel’s service, visit sites like www.renohotelreviews.com. Checking out hotel review sites can give you the scoop on how good a hotel’s service really is.

Reno Hotel Reviews is the leading authority on Reno Hotels, Reno Casinos, and Reno Travel in general. Our site provides reviews for the most popular Reno Hotels.

Guide To The Best Golf Courses In The Malaga Region · Costa Del Sol Fuengirola Info

Mucho More About Here: http://costadelsolfuengirola.info/

Valderrama Golf Club

Lets start with probably the best: renowned as being one of the best fairway courses in Europe, Valderrama’s course was created to test the skill and shooting style of the keen golfer! Designed in 1974, the course is located about 1.5 hours from Malaga. The course played host to the Ryder Cup in 1997. Due to the prestige of the venue, it is expensive to play here, with green fees ranging up to €320. However this is well worth it if you are a seasoned golfer, but be prepared to book well in advance!

Alcaidesa Golf Links Course

Alcaidesa is the only links course in Spain that meets the standards of International Competition. The views are majestic – from the course you can see the famous Rock of Gibraltar, and further afield the North African Atlas Mountain Range. Located just over 100km from Malaga Airport, along the A7, this course is a challenging one, especially at the Cadiz coastline with its hilly holes and the sea breezes from the Mediterranean. Typical Green Fees range up to around €80 per round per person.

Guadalhorce Golf Club

If you can’t wait to hit the green after arriving at Malaga Airport and picking up your car rental, then look no further than Guadalhorce. Located just 7km from the Airport, this 18-hole course is divided into two parts – a parkland design for the first 9 holes and then a more difficult final 9-hole fairway area. Typical Green Fees range up to around €58 per round per person.

Anoreta Golf Course

What could be better than a course lined by palm trees with the sparkling sea in the background? Anoreta is the only 18-hole course east of Malaga, and is located 20km from the Airport. This course offers a great challenge for all golfers, with its wide and narrow fairways. €56 per round are typical green fees.

Santa Maria Golf Club

This golf course is perhaps one of the most popular courses along the Costa del Sol, and is located between Fuengirola and Marbella in the Malaga Region. It would be suited to high and medium handicap players. There are some water hazards on the course, which adds to the challenge! The 5th and 6th holes have difficult steep walks, so be prepared! €65 is around the rate for a round of golf. Located 50km from Malaga, near Cadiz.

Rio Real Golf Club

Since its opening in 1965, this picturesque course is very popular with regular golfers returning to the Malaga Region. The open fairways of this course are a stern test for even the most experienced player. The course is set in a true Mediterranean location, with palm trees, and majestic sea views. The 8th and 10th greens are particularly challenging! The clubhouse has excellent facilities and bar. Rio Real has also its own 5 star hotel. Expect to pay over €100 for green fees.

Estepona Golf Course

This course, which is located 77km from Malaga Airport, is home to the longest course hole in Spain. The third hole (which is a par 5) is a total of almost 570 metres! With its wide fairways and greens that are long, Estepona is a very popular course every year. The towering Sierra Bermeja Mountains form a wonderful backdrop to a round, along with the wonderful foliage, from palm to olive trees. Expect to pay around €50 for green fees.

Cabopino Golf Course

Close to the Marina, this course is located in a majestic setting with terrific views. The expansive greens all have different holes and offers a challenge to all golfers. Located just a short drive from the port of Puerto Cabopino, and under half an hour from Fuengirola and Marbella, this course is well recommended. €62 are the per person green fees dependent on the time of year.

Atalaya Golf Course

This course has two 18-hole courses, which are known as the Old Course and the New Course. The old course is a parkland type, and the new course starts in the flat and wide fairways but verges up to the hills making it a tough task to master! The Atalaya International Golf Academy is located here, so if you are a budding golfer you can engage in some classes. Located 70km from Malaga Airport, the course fees can range up to €80 per person.

La Quinta Golf Club

La Quinta was created in 1989 and lies 50km from Malaga Airport. It is regarded as one of the most popular Costa del Sol golf resorts. This course has 27 holes, an 18-hole and then a 9-hole one. With a wonderful fairway course, and magnificent views of the sea and mountains, the course fees can range up to €88 per person. Going to Live in Spain · Costa Del Sol Fuengirola Info

Going to Live in Spain
Thousands of people every year dream of going to live in Spain and a small percentage of them do it. What is the reason for the dream, and how does the reality live up to it?

I came to Spain in 1991, 14 years ago at the time of writing, with my husband and three young children then aged 4, 7 and 8. To be honest we had initially intended to go to France, having been tempted by the promise of beautiful rural property going for a song, but we went the wrong way when we got off the ferry in Santander and have been here ever since!

Our reasons for leaving England, Lincolnshire to be exact, were not much different I imagine from anyone else’s, better climate, cheaper property prices, less stressful way of life, lower crime rate, cheaper cost of living lower taxation and bureaucracy, less traffic and pollution and generally a better environment for our growing children. In all respects I should say the move has lived up to our expectations.

Of course it wasn’t all plain sailing. For a start none of us spoke a word of Spanish, we had been busy learning French! We fell in love with Northern Spain as the scenery is so beautiful but it was impossible to find any property to buy as there were no such things as estate agents then, those halcyon days! But for all we curse them they do at least provide a meeting point between buyer and seller. So against all our original intentions we hitched up the caravan and headed south, having been told by some English people we met on a campsite that it would be alot easier down there. Which indeed it was.

We didn’t want to follow the sun, sea and sangria route as we were looking for isolation and seclusion and after responding to an advert for a house for sale in the English paper “SUR in English” we were introduced to a Spaniard who after much painstaking searching managed to find us the place of our dreams in the mountains of Casares, just inland from Estepona on the Costa del Sol However we still weren’t home and dry as all we actually bought was 10,000 sq. meters of complete isolation and a ruin without water or electricity! So now the fun had just begun.

In any event we soon discovered that we had escaped bureaucracy as all we had to do was present a simple plan drawn by my husband and pay 200 pesetas and we had planning permission to more or less do as we wished. However that was easier said than done as we still barely spoke the lingo and didn’t even know the word for brick. Still with the aid of Hugo’s Spanish in 3 months, (3 years more like) we plodded on and built our own piece of paradise on the sunny slopes of an Andalucian mountain. The children enrolled in the village school and within a few months were virtually bi-lingual. The local people were very friendly and trusting and adored the children arguing amongst themselves as to whose turn it was to invite them for merienda after school.

So 14 years down the line we are still here and have no desire to return. Most of our hopes and expectations have been realized. Certainly the climate is better, the property, at the time was cheaper, the Spanish don’t know the meaning of the word stress, although sometimes this can be a bit stressful in itself! The crime rate in our area is virtually nil, we don’t even have a lock on the door, the cost of living was lower but with the advent of the euro is steadily rising, taxation on the essentials in life such as alcohol, fuel and even tobacco is less and certainly even today the Spanish do try to keep bureaucracy to a minimum. Pollution is pretty minimal as there is no heavy industry in this area and although the traffic has increased it obviously has done so in the U.K. as well. I certainly think the children had a better environment to grow up in as they were able to have the freedom to roam and explore that you certainly could not afford children in the U.K. these days. One other great benefit that I had not considered before is the much healthier lifestyle. The Mediterranean diet is considered to be one of the healthiest in the world, the sunshine is good for body and soul, the air is fresher, the longer winter days are much less depressing and if you like out door pursuits such as golf, swimming, walking etc. then it is definitely the right place to be. It is little wonder that the local population have a longer life span and comparatively lower rates of cancer and heart disease than in other western countries.

Most of the above still holds true for today. Of course there is a lot of development and a much larger foreign population but that has it’s benefits. The infrastructure has been greatly improved, in particular the roads and airports and accessibility to all parts of Andalucia from Britain has never been easier. It is now easy to take out a mortgage to buy a Spanish property either at home in Gibraltar or with a Spanish bank. There is certainly a far greater choice of properties for sale and of course plenty of Estate agents!

If you are thinking of moving over here then don’t rush into buying the first brand new villa or apartment you see, shop around. You will probably get better value for money if you buy a second hand property and at least you don’t have to worry about dead lines not being met and being left high and dry with all your baggage packed and no place to go. Also all teething problems will have already been ironed out and water, electricity and possibly even phone connections will be up and running.

It is very quick to buy in Spain, it is just a matter of going to the Notary with the money, signing the papers and you can move in- no need to exchange contracts and wait for completion dates etc. You don’t even really need a solicitor but if this is your first time it is probably advisable.

Buying a ruin, as we did, and building is now more or less out of the question as the Junta de Andalucia have put a ban on rural development. The only exception is if you can prove that you have a working Finca and that you need to live on the premises to tend to your livestock.

If you are serious about settling here then do make an attempt to Learn Spanish as you will get so much more out of your time here. The Spanish people are very kind hearted and friendly and very patient with all us mad foreigners, so many of whom don’t speak the lingo, but they really appreciate you making the effort.

So if your dream is to go and live in Spain then do it! You will find it a wonderful life enriching experience.

A Golfer’s Guide To Hotel Las Piramides & The Costa Del Sol · Costa Del Sol Fuengirola Info

The fact that the Costa del Sol is also known as the Costa del Golf is a pretty good indication that this part of Spain is indeed a golfer’s paradise. Boasting over 60 golf courses, the region offers year round playability and is ideal for both casual and serious golfers. It helps to find a central place to stay in from which to visit the different courses and Hotel Las Piramides in Fuengirola is just such an accommodation option.

Situated right by the seaside, this beachfront hotel is only about 500 metres from the town centre and makes a great base from which to begin a tour of the Costa del Sol golf courses. Since there are numerous golfing options within a 50 kilometre radius of Fuengirola, the town is a popular destination amongst golfers who are indeed spoilt for choice.

Guests staying at the Las Piramides Hotel Costa del Sol can begin their golfing holiday by heading to the Cabopino Golf Club which is only around 15 minutes from Fuengirola. This picturesque 18-hole course (par 71) has been designed with the surrounding scenery in mind and is set amidst some truly stunning natural landscapes. The 3rd hole is quite spectacular, while the 5th hole with its narrow fairway will put ones skills to the test.

Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Mijas Golf is located north of Fuengirola and is home to two immensely sought after courses on the Costa del Sol. Surrounded by the scenery of the Valley of Mijas, the 18-hole Los Lagos course (par 71) is particularly large and offers relatively easy playing conditions. The club’s Los Olivos course may be shorter in length, but poses more of a challenge along its 18-holes (par 72).

Hotel Las Piramides in Costa del Sol can also be used as a base to visit the Alhaurin Golf Club which enjoys a breathtaking location amidst the Mijas Mountains. The 18-hole course (par 72) has been designed by Spanish golfing great Seve Ballesteros and makes golfers drive, putt and chip their way out of trouble around scenic fairways, tricky bunkers and problematic water hazards!

Home to the Campo America (par 73), Campo Europa (par 71) and Campo Asia (par 71) 18-hole courses, the La Cala Golf Course stakes its claim as being the largest golf complex in Spain. Playing at these three courses is no walk in the park and golfers will need a good handle on their game before taking them on. Those wanting to brush up on their skills can sign up at the onsite David Leadbetter Academy.

Other 18-hole courses that can be easily reached from Fuengirola include the Falco Nardi designed courses at Lauro Golf and Miraflores Golf Club, the family oriented Guadalhorce Golf Club, the El Chaparral Golf Course, Parador Golf and the Torrequebrada Golf Course which is one of the toughest courses in the region and rightly nicknamed “The Beast!”

Those returning to the Las Piramides Hotel Costa del Sol after a long round of golf can enjoy a leisurely swim at the onsite indoor or outdoor pools. Out of shape golfers can make use of the fitness centre, while meals are served at the Blue Restaurant and at the Noble Dinning Room. The hotel also has 2 convention lounges where business travellers can hold meetings before sealing the deal on the golf course! There is a piano bar and an Internet point here as well.

Since the hotel is by the beach, certain rooms have great sea views which are worth taking in both at the beginning and end of the day. Tired out golfers can make use of the individually controlled air conditioning in order to cool down, while these simple rooms also come with heating, satellite television and a direct dial phone.

Guests staying at Hotel Las Piramides Costa del Sol in Fuengirola are at a great advantage since they can easily access the region’s beaches as well as its breathtaking golf courses. Many of these courses are attractions in their own right and provide some truly unforgettable backdrops in which to enjoy a memorable golfing holiday in the Costa del Sol.
